Rajan Supramaniam
Rajan graduated in 1996 from the University of London, UK, with a Bachelor of Law (Honours). Rajan was called to the English bar by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2000. Rajan had also obtained his BA and MA degrees in English Literature from NUS.
Prior to joining Regent Law LLC as a Senior Criminal Lawyer, he was the Managing Director and a Senior Lawyer at Hilborne Law LLC and later was a Consultant at Edmond Pereira Law Corporation.
Aside from general practice, he does Criminal Law, Family Law, Civil Law and Family Law. He does Solicitor’s work by giving advice on dispute avoidance and act for clients on immigration, MOM, appeal matters and custom offences. Rajan has acted and represented clients from all works of life doing civil and criminal trials in the State Courts, Family Court, Military Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Rajan’s experience as a Civil and Criminal Lawyer includes trials in the State Courts and capital cases for murder and drug offences assigned by the Supreme Court of Singapore. He was involved in some high profile capital cases with Senior Lawyers.
Rajan is an experienced litigation and mediation lawyer in Singapore with good reputation. He is a Certified Mediator at the State Courts, Singapore Mediation Centre and with the Law Society of Singapore. He is also a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.
He has local and international clients. He prides himself giving practical advice and creative solutions to his clients’ issues and problems. His practice is based on good client care, protecting client’s interest with reasonable fees. His lawyer client-relationship is based on mutual trust and respect.
Rajan has received numerous appreciation letters, well wishes and testimonials from clients. His performance in the Courtroom has been appreciated by both clients and Judges. He handles each case with passion, commitment, conviction and fearlessly defends his clients.
Rajan is also a Legal Advisor to Yew Tee PAP branch and is an active member of Criminal Legal Aid Scheme and does Pro bono Work. Rajan is an Adjunct Lecturer for University of London, B.A. English Literature and LLB Law Programmes. He also held the appointment of a Police Inspector (V) with the Singapore Police Force.
He has given regular media interviews sharing his knowledge of law and expertise and is often quoted in the local newspapers such as, The Straits Times, The New Paper, Today’s Paper, Tamil Murusu. Rajan has also appeared on live TV shows, Talking Point and radio for talks and panel discussions sharing his cases and giving commentaries as well as his perspective on legal issues.
